Dhadak (2018)

Dhadak Starring the vivacious Jhanvi Kapoor and the boy next door Ishaan Khattar was shot in Rajasthan & West Bengal. The shooting locations formed the perfect backdrop for the storyline. A lot of people got interested in the shooting locations of Dhadak. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, the movie is the Hindi remake of the Marathi flick Sairat. The movie follows a storyline of rebellious love, persuasion, violence and conflict.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) is a awesome romantic and comedy movie directed by Ayan Mukharji and produced by Karan Johar. In this movie we can see the great chemistry of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone who are in lead roles. They were pictured as crazy young people who fall in love later. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) was another superhit movie of 2013 which was filmed in Udaipur city. This film was a Indian crime drama directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Ranbeer Singh and Deepika Padukone was in lead roles and the supporting roles were played by an ensemble cast including Supriya Pathak Kapur, Richa Chadda, Sharad Kelkar, Gulshan Devaiah, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, and Abhimanyu Singh. It is one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2013 and also one of the most awarded ones, winning three Filmfare Awards out of eight nominations. In this movie Ranbeer Singh and Deepika belonged from different community which was enemies of each other but they fall in love with each other and gave the society a message that love can void any enmity. Various scenes were shot in Udaipur particularly at Udaipur palace and Gangaur Ghat where a song sequence was shot.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011)

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a 2011 British comedy-drama film, directed by John Madden. The film stars Dev Patel. The shoot is done in Jaipur and Udaipur. The main shooting location was the village Khempur which is one and half hour from Udaipur. The Best Exotic Hotel site was the Ravla is an equestrian hotel that was originally the palace, Madden said  “It had something special that could ultimately draw the characters in”.

The Cheetah Girls : One World(2008)

The Cheetah Girls: One World is a 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie which first premiered on Disney Channel on August 22, 2008. It is the third and final film of The Cheetah Girls film trilogy. Disney Channel announced the film with the plot involving the Cheetah Girls going to India to star in a BollyWood production. Filming began in Udaipur, [Sajjangarh , Delhigate , Dudhtalai] during March 2008 at various locations.

Dhamaal (2007)

Dhamaal is a 2007 Bollywood comedy film directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Aashish Chaudhary. These 5 actors played an amazing role to make laugh their viewers. This was a great comedy movie and this movie was a semi hit across Indian cinema. Location used for film shooting were Badi Pal , Sajjangarh etc. A dhaba scene was shot at the Badi Pal.

The Fall (2006 film) was another HollyWood  movie shot in udaipur. The Fall is a 2006 adventure fantasy film directed by Tarsem Singh, starring Lee Pace, Catinca Untaru, and Justine Waddell. Various scenes were shot in some parts of Udaipur. [Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur]. It is based on the screenplay of the 1981 Bulgarian film Yo Ho Ho by Valeri Petrov. The film earned $3.2 million worldwide. The film was released to theaters in 2008.

Yaadein (2001)

Yaadein is a 2001 hindi romantic drama movie starring Hrithik and Kareena Kapoor. The movie is directed by Subhash Gai and shot in India and Malaysia. Khuda Gawah (1992)

Mega blockbuster Khuda Gawah is a 1992 Bollywood epic Romance drama film directed by Mukul S. Anand and lead role was played by Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi (in a dual role), Akkineni Nagarjuna, Shilpa Shirodkar and Danny Denzongpa. Khuda Gawah had lavish production values and was extensively shot in  different countries like India, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan. The film won much appreciation for all its actors and especially the lead pair Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan. Both stars won Filmfare nominations for their work. Phool Bane Angaray (1991)

Phool Bane Angaray is a 1991 film directed by K.C. Bokadia and lead role were played by Rajinikanth and Rekha. In this movie, Namrata[Rekha] pledges to avenge his death of her husband. Shots of this movie were taken at hathipole, jal mahal, Dehligate, local market and Jagdish Mandir.

Khoon Bhari Maang(1988)

Khoon Bhari Maang (1988)  was another super hit movie shot in Udaipur.  Khoon Bhari Maang, released on 12 August 1988, was directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It is a remake of the Australian mini-series Return to Eden (1983), and is about a wealthy widow who is almost killed by her lover and sets out for revenge. Octopussy is the thirteenth entry in the James Bond film series, and the sixth to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond.The filming of Octopussy began on 10 August 1982 with the scene in which Bond arrives at Checkpoint Charlie. Principal photography was done by Arthur Wooster and his second unit, who later filmed the knife-throwing scenes. Much of the film was shot in Udaipur, India. The Monsoon Palace served as the exterior of Kamal Khan’s palace, while scenes set at Octopussy’s palace were filmed at the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, and Bond’s hotel was the Shiv Niwas Palace. Mera Saaya (1966)

Mera saaya is a 1966 hit Bollywood movie starring Sunil Dutt and Sadhana.The film won the Filmfare best sound award for Manohar Ambedkar.Some superhit songs of the movie are “Jhumka gira re”,”Naino mein badra”, “Tu jahan jahan chalega”.some parts of the movie was shot in Udaipur at Dudh talai, lake palace and Jagmandir palace.

Guide (1965)

Guide is a 1965 Romantic Drama film in which Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman was in the lead role. This movie was directed by Vijay Anand who also played a role in the movie. The film is based on a famous novel , The Guide, written by R. K. Narayan, and is widely considered to be one of the masterpieces of the Indian film industry. This movie won 14th film fare awards in the category of Best Film, Director, Actor , Actress, Dialogue, cinematographer and Story. The shots were taken at Surajpole, Hathipole , Fatehsagar and also in Chittorgarh.
